Janis A. Castaldi
Candidate for Village Trustee
I am honored and extremely excited to have the opportunity to have been chosen by the Democratic Committee to run for the office of Village Trustee.
My corporate background as a trainer for thirteen years has enabled me to grow into a seasoned presenter and motivational speaker, but more importantly it has taught me to listen to people’s issues and individual concerns. My background has enabled me to solve problems in a compromising manner. Most recently I have started my own business venture as a Life Coach and have become familiar with the struggles and determination necessary for a new business to become successful. I became employed early in life in order to finance my education and I hold a degree in Paralegal studies from Mercy College in White Plains. I was honored to be asked to apprentice in the newly created District Attorneys Domestic Violence Unit after my studies and remain dedicated to children’s issues across Westchester County.
I have been a resident of Ossining for four years now, and decided when I made Ossining my home I wanted to dedicate myself to a diverse and challenging community and be part of its growth and change. Although I am new to the community, I have dedicated myself to the advancement of Ossining and its residents, volunteering for many charities and committees.
I completed the Civilian Police course in Ossining, I am responsible for the annual Christmas Drive for Children’s Toys and Long Term Care residents for the Dominican Sisters, I am the committee leader for the newly created Ossining Town Crier Committee which gathers information on issues important to it’s residents, I am a contributor and volunteer for Ossining Matters Programs, and I am most proud to have been nominated to the Board of Ossining Children’s Center this year.
I consider myself to be a free and independent thinker and a fresh positive face in our community,
I welcome serving this community, and look forward to it’s growth and positive changes in the coming years
