Sue was appointed in June of 2006 to replace Miguel Hernandez when he moved up to Mayor and has subsequently been elected to the Board in her own right.

Sue was instrumental in founding the The Yellow Ribbon Program for Suicide Prevention. During her year as President of Ossining Rotary, she led the club, and its youth division, the Interact Club, in innovative community activities and highly successful fundraising campaigns. She was so successful in leading Ossining's Interact Club that she was asked to advise at the Rotary District Level.
